Mystery of the Hooded Horseman: One of the better Tex Ritter musical Westerns. The Mystery of the Hooded Horsemen was made almost serial-style, except that this time the villains wore the masks instead of the hero. A gang of hooded riders is terrorizing the local ranchers and shoots kindly old Tom Wilson in cold blood. Before he dies, Tom begs Tex Martin and his sidekick Stubby  to help his partner, Farley , save their mine. The leader of the riders, Blackie , gets Tex in hot water with the sheriff  but helped by Tom's daughter Nancy , he manages not only to bring Blackie to justice but also reveal the identity of the real brain behind the terror. Released 1937

Sing Cowboy Sing: Tex Ritter and his horse "White Flash" get top billing in this B-western. Kalmus and his gang of thugs are out to get the freight contract in town; which means putting an end to the current operation run by a fellow named Summers. Tex Archer and his sidekick Duke Evans  happen along as the raid takes place, and he vows to stick around and help Summers' daughter Madge  keep the contract her father died to secure. Kalmus and his guys  try to take ole Tex out of the picture several times, but these guys can't hit anybody with their six-shooters. Tex and Duke really are on their own this time, as the local sheriff is incompetent and the judge useless.Released 1937
